Paradise on earth 🇭🇹 If I had a dollar for Paradise on earth 🇭🇹

If I had a dollar for every time I was told, “Don’t go there. It’s too dangerous,” by someone who has never actually been to the location in question, I’d be a millionaire.

While the intentions are always good, sometimes they’re unnecessary!

When I was in school for journalism, we were taught a catchphrase that was (and still is) used to determine which stories would headline in the news. The phrase goes:

“If it bleeds, it leads.”

Basically, if a story involved any threat of death or physical harm, that story should headline the news. The urgency to spread the news was higher.

This rings true for travel too. If a certain destination has any safety warning attached to it from media (even though places in our home country are often more dangerous), we become illogically fearful of that destination.

When, in reality, if we follow travel advisories, stay in the safest parts of the country (like the private port in this video named Labadee) and use our common sense, we can travel to these places safely.

In fact, I felt even safer at this port than I do walking around my own little Wisconsin neighborhood.

What do you think? Would you travel here? (10/10 recommend!) 🌴🥥🍹
