I own a shameful amount of Beis travel products (10 products and counting, to be exact) — from Beis luggage and weekender bags to cosmetic bags and merch. So, today, we’re going to do an ultimate Beis Travel review to answer to a time-old question: is Beis really worth it?
I actually own and have tested out all 10 of these products. Also, it’s worth noting that some of the Beis colors are frequently sold out. So, if a product linked below is sold out, there is likely another color that is in stock. If you choose to purchase one of these products, you can click here for $15 off your first Beis purchase.

Beis Carry-On Roller
First and foremost, the Beis Carry-On Roller is arguably one of the most sought-after luggage pieces in the travel industry today. Everyone who owns Beis luggage is obsessed with it, but why? Simply put, the Beis carry-on has all of the bells and whistles.
This stylish hardshell suitcase comes fully equipped with a built-in TSA-approved lock (yes, the Beis carry-on is TSA approved), as well as a clamshell interior that has built-in compression straps on one side and a zipped half on the other. The zipper side also has two pockets on the outside, one traditional pocket and one waterproof wet bag. This unique built-in wet bag is perfect for wet swimsuits and dirty clothes post-trip. Furthermore, it comes with a snap-in compression flap and two laundry bags coined by Beis as “dirt bags.”
Now, every rose has its thorns, and the Beis carry-on is no exception. Although I love my Beis Carry-On Roller in Maple, there are a few aspects of this luggage that have sparked controversy among travelers. Technically, the Beis Carry-On Roller is too big to legally carry on, coming in at 22.8″ x 15.7″ x 9.8″ dimensions. The legal carry-on dimensions in the USA is 22″ x 14″ x 9.” However, I have personally never had any issue carrying on my Beis Carry-On Roller. Furthermore, although most Beis luggage is hardshell, it is not built to be totally waterproof.
Beis Weekender Bag
While I love the majority of my Beis products, I have to admit the Beis Weekender Bag is the most overhyped product. Basically, this bag is precisely what it’s named and nothing more: a weekender bag. There is only enough room in the bag for a couple days worth of clothes maximum.
If you spend a lot of overnights outside your home, perhaps for overnight nannying or work trips, the weekender bag would be great for you. Plus, there is a padded laptop compartment, the iconic Beis key leash and a separate compartment for shoes (my favorite feature). Even though the beige color dirties easily, it also washes easily with a little soap and water.
Note: the Beis weekender bag is way too big to fit under an airplane seat. It cannot be used as a personal item. Now, there is a mini version that may be used as a personal item, but the regular size is way too big compared to what it actually holds.
The Backpack
“The Backpack,” on the other hand, is arguably one of the most underrated Beis products. Minus the shoes, the Beis backpack surprisingly holds about as much as the weekender bag. It’s built to be a personal item, therefore fitting under airplane seats. Additionally, the double zippers unzip all the way to either bottom side of the backpack, allowing you to pack the backpack like a suitcase.
Of course, the Beis backpack would not be complete without the famous key leash and extra roomy padded laptop compartment.
I honestly love this backpack. My only complaint is that, as with the weekender bag, the beige color does get dirty. Luckily, it washes easily with a little soap and water.
Large Work Tote
The Large Work Tote was my very first Beis product that I owned, and it’s the reason I fell in love with the brand. Shay Mitchell and her team really think of everything when they are designing products.
For example, The Large Work Tote, which my friends like to call the “Mary Poppins bag” holds everything you need in a work tote and/or personal item. It’s chic enough to wear in a professional setting, and looks stunning on the maple carry-on roller with its smart convertible pocket to trolley pass. Of course, it comes with a variety of interior compartments, a padded laptop pouch, a removable zipper pouch and a key leash.
After a few years of heavy wear, the zippers are finally starting to give in. But, with or without zippers, I’ll always use this classy tote bag.
Work Tote
Likewise, I loved and used The Large Work Tote in maple so much that I ended up getting its younger sister, The Work Tote in maple. Basically, The Work Tote comes with all of the same iconic features as The Large Work Tote, but it’s significantly smaller. I find this size to be better fit for day-to-day use. But, believe it or not, it still can hold a lot.
Sport Sling
Moving to smaller Beis products, The Sport Sling in maple is the only Beis crossbody bag I own, and the only Beis crossbody bag I think I need (emphasis on “think”).
Unlike other crossbody bags, The Sport Sling has a variety of separated compartments and includes special features like the key leash and credit card slots. My favorite feature, and the reason I purchased this bag, is the hidden water bottle holder, which is perfect for hikes or longs days out. When you’re not using the water bottle holder, you can simply tuck it away into its designated zipper pocket.
I particularly love that even though this bag holds more than the average fanny pack, it does not look obnoxiously big on your body — even with a water bottle.
The Dopp Kit
Like I said earlier, the Beis product team really thinks of everything. The Dopp Kit is no ordinary dopp kit. First of all, it has a separated bottom zipper compartment, which is perfect for keeping your makeup brushes separate and clean. It’s also much bigger than I expected — in a good way.
My favorite feature, though, which is unique to any dopp kit I’ve ever seen, is that the interior has a durable waterproof pocket designed especially for your toothbrush. No more toothbrush caps or plastic baggies!
As you could imagine, the beige color can get dirty. But, as I’ve said, it is pretty easy to clean. I still opted for the beige color so that it would match my weekender bag.
The In-Flight Cosmetic Set
Although the last thing I needed to spend money on was another makeup bag, I couldn’t resist The In-Flight Cosmetic Set for two reasons. One, these bags are clear and quart-size or less, which means they can pass as your TSA liquids bag. Two, one of the bags comes with a mirror and mirror holder for easy touch-ups in flight.
Jewelry Case
There are many cheaper dupes for The Jewelry Case that you can buy on Amazon, but if you’re trying to redeem rewards and need a low-cost paid item in your cart like I did, The Jewelry Case is a fantastic option. I love the pearly white version of the beige color, as it compliments my other beige products nicely without directly matching.
Furthermore, I obviously love being able to travel with my fancy jewelry, knowing that everything will stay safe and tangle-free in this chic jewelry box. There are padded slots for rings, a mirror, a pocket for earrings, hooks to keep necklaces from tangling, and a watch pillow.
BEISball Cap
Another good rewards redemption purchase is The BEISball Cap. I have to say, I was really looking forward to an adorable cotton baseball cap to wear on a daily basis. I was slightly disappointed when I received the hat, and it was made of cheaply made athletic material. The hat is still adorable and great for workouts. But, honestly, it was just not what I expected. I’m interested to see how the matching crewneck compares.
So, if you couldn’t already tell, what’s so great about Beis? Overall, Beis is popular because of its genius features that most products include, such as the key leash and other hidden features. Also, I must admit that, as a business owner myself, I have so much respect for the company’s branding. It is truly on par with the target customers.
From my experience, if you choose to purchase Beis luggage, Beis luggage can take around 7-10 days to ship, even with its expensive shipping costs. So, definitely order well before your trip date.
