    Let's be friends!

One of my favorite parts about London so far is th One of my favorite parts about London so far is the stark coexistence of old and new.

Old and new.
History and present.
Tradition and reform.

One second you could be looking at a building from the 1000s, and the next you could be walking across the Thames on an abstractly modern bridge.

No matter which part of London city you're in, you can always see this contrasting coexistence in the city's architecture and culture.

It's beautiful. And, it's something we don't really get to experience in the young United States.

I get a LOT of questions about how I pick out outf I get a LOT of questions about how I pick out outfits for trips. There are actually a few questions I always consider. 💭

- What's culturally appropriate? What do the locals wear? It's super important to try to blend in as much as possible (for various reasons, including safety).

- What's practical? Will I want to walk around in the outfit all day? Can I wear a swimsuit underneath if needed?

- What will look best in photos? If you haven't noticed, travel photography is important on my trips -- both behind and in front of the camera. Neutrals or patternless colors without words or logos are typically ideal!

- What accessories can double as photo props? Hats, sunglasses, scarves, jackets and small purses are my personal favorites.

When in doubt, I look to Pinterest and Instagram geotags for inspiration. If I see outfits I like, I save the posts to a Pinterest board/IG album to replicate with my own clothes.

Now it's your turn! Feel free to save this post to a new IG album named "travel outfits" or "[your next destination] outfits." That way, you can easily access this post when you're packing!

Valentine, you bring color to my life. 💋🌈😌

We were driving west of Moab, further into the Utah desert, into the middle of nowhere. Beige rolling hills circumferenced us as we sought out a seemingly mythical place: the rainbow mountains of Utah.

Kenny was attempting to drive our little 2011 Chevy Cruze through the unmaintained dirt roads while I navigated via screenshots of Google Earth.

There were no directions, no addresses, and no hints of the legendary location anywhere online. All I knew was that it existed.

After about two hours of driving through flat desert without a definite destination, we approached a hilly area. Our hopes rose higher as we began to see hues of red and orange add themselves to the boring beige.

Soon after, we found ourselves on planet Mars, surrounded by tear-jerking colorful hills.

We found it. We found the rainbow mountains.

Want to know where the rainbow mountains are? Save this post and click the link in my bio. 🌞
